Lent

This is the 40 days leading up to the most important feast in the Christian Calendar, the Feast of the Resurrection of Our Lord at Easter.

Lent is a time to prepare, reflect, pray and give.

As a school, all classes have been thinking about Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving (giving to the needy).

We also think about the last journey of Christ before his crucifixion which we know as the Stations of the Cross.

As Fr. Barry said, 'We are all on a journey, with Christ, as we travel through this Lenten period'.

How will you prepare for Easter during this Lent?

Have you made your Lenten promise?

What extra things are you doing this Lent?

We are preparing in school by fasting, praying and raising money for Charities such as CAFOD.

May Adoration

During the month of May we honour Our Lady, mother of God in a very special way.

On Friday 3rd May we held our annual May Procession in honour of Our Lady and all the pupils, staff along with many parents and parishioners processed from the school grounds to the Church to sing hymns, say prayers and crown the statue of Mary.
